I just came back from some beauty treatment at the Regency Beauty institute. So far, I have been there for four cuts and a manicure and pedicure. My style is rather simple but getting the look just right is tough. However, at the Regency, the cuts have been fantastic. The first time I went in, the student consulted with me and came up with a great cut that fetched me a lot of compliments. The stylists I have had have been friendly and open to feedback. The supervisor steps by to check and actually does pay attention to make sure everything is even. The manicure and pedicure were awesome. You get to keep the bottle of polish and they use OPI products, which are top of the line.

"Super Drunk Driving": Know the New Laws

Many states have recently enacted what is known as â€œSuper Drunk Drivingâ€ laws. These laws, in general, will boost the penalties a person is facing if he is convicted of driving while having an excessive BAC or blood alcohol content.

Michigan is the latest state to enact this law. Many states have the same types of penalties and enhancements. These laws were generally put into place to act as a major deterrent to drinking and driving. Taking a look at the Michigan law will provide a view of how these new laws work.

Without Prior Convictions

Drivers who are facing total DUI charges for the first time (or within the past seven years) and are tested to have a 0.17 percent or higher BAC will face these new laws. If the BAC level is at above the 0.08 percent legal limit but falls below 0.17 percent, the driver faces up to 93 days in jail. With the enhanced penalties of the new law, the driver with a higher than 0.17 percent BAC will be facing 180 days in jail.
License suspension penalties are also increased. For those convicted under the Super Drunk Driving laws, they face 45 days of no driving and 320 additional days of restricted driving. Those with a traditional DUI face a 30-day license suspension, with a 150-day restricted driving.
Additionally, an ignition interlock will be required for those convicted under the new enhanced laws. Monetary fines are also imposed and increased. Individuals convicted under these laws are required to enroll in an alcohol treatment program for no less than one year.

With Prior Convictions

In the past, all drunk driving penalties with a first time offender were basically treated the sameâ€”all faced the same penalties and fines. As it can be seen, the Super Drunk Driving laws have changed this. In addition, these new laws have substantially increased the penalties for multiple offenses. Multiple offenders will face even stiffer jail time and fines, some reaching $8,000 or more.

As you can see, the new laws are intended to curb drinking and driving by placing very stiff restrictions and stringent penalties into place. However, it is assured that the best way to avoid these types of penalties is not to drink and drive.
